Wheelie good week!

It's been another great week! We were back on the bikes this week which always makes for a good time.

We did a ton of service this week. Everything from moving trees, getting couches out of basements, digging ditches, installing irrigation systems, fixing bikes, and washing windows. We've met a lot of awesome people through doing service and are even working with some part member families because of it.

Elder Cook and I worked super hard this week. We Spent every minute of every day doing everything we could to help the people we are teaching progress. The Lord rewarded our efforts and we found 5 new people to teach!! We also made a lot of progress with the people we are teaching. Our teaching pool is up to 20 people now. Since we have several lessons everyday we've needed a lot of help from the ward. We have found someone from the ward to come to every lesson with us this week. The lessons really go a lot better with members.

Terry ( the guy we've been teaching) has been doing great. We bring a member with us and play cards with him like 3 times this week. After we play cards we have a lesson. Now he's actually excited about meeting with us. He said he wants to start living the word of wisdom so we are helping him with that. The best part is, he came to church this week!

The New people we found are super awesome. We found Betty and Her daughter Shonda + her 3 kids. We also found Jennifer and Alec. Alec is 14 and he plays basketball, so we've been playing with him and he wants to come to church. The last guy we found to teach is James. James has a rough background but he wants to do what God wants him to do. We had a great lesson with him. He doesn't have any furniture so we sat on the ground. He is having a birthday party for his son next week and he invited us to come and teach him and the family for an hour before the party and then join him for the barbecue! Pretty stoked about all these people, they are great.

A little miracle story from this week. We were biking out to a part member family that lives an hour from our apartment. On the way there we were riding along and we were passing a house and we felt like we needed to stop and knock on the door. A guy answered the door and the first thing he said was, "you guys better get out of here" we kinda laughed and we asked him if he needed any help in his yard. A couple more questions and it turned into a 30 minute conversation and a return appointment to teach him the restoration. It's crazy how that works.

We have just been trying to be as diligent as possible. We listen to what's called "Prophet Peptalk" every morning when we wake up. It gets us so pumped for the day. A scripture that has really been on my mind this week is in Heleman chapter 15:
5 And I would that ye should behold that the more part of them are in the path of their duty, and they do walk circumspectly before God, and they do observe to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments according to the law of Moses
6 Yea, I say unto you, that the more part of them are doing this, and they are striving with unwearied diligence that they may bring the remainder of their brethren to the knowledge of the truth; therefore there are many who do add to their numbers daily.

First I would like to focus on that word "circumspectly." What does it mean to walk circumpectly before God? When used as an adjective it means unwilling to take risks. A great example of this is the Anti-Nephi-Lehis. They buried their swords and they refused to pick them back up even when they were about to be attacked. They did this because they feared God more then they feared man. They would rather die then break their covenant with the Lord, or in other words, sin. When we walk Circumspectly before God we are unwilling to take that risk.

This doesn't mean that we are perfect though, we are still going to make mistakes and sin. If you go back up to the scripture another word that sticks out is "observe." Switch the word "observe" to the word "try." The Lord just expects us to try and to do our best.

President Nelson said at this general conference,
"The Lord does not expect perfection from us at this point in our eternal progression. But He does expect us to become increasingly pure"

We just have to continue to try and repent daily and the Lord will reward our efforts.

Love you all, have a great week!

In front of their home. They leave a
pic of Jesus in the window so people
won't mess with them.

A member found them on their bikes
and brought them dinner.

There's only one way!

Still wheeling around
