Another week out here in the warzone. Elder Marshall got transferred up to Raleigh and I got my new companion Elder Gardner. He is from Idaho and he's been out here for 10 months.
We had to drive back and forth from Raleigh a couple times and get everyone moved around where they need to go! When we brought Elder Gardner and Elder Chappell down we had to fit like 8 suitcases in a little chevy Malibu... that was not a comfortable ride
We had zone council this week and that went pretty good. Also just got news mission President #3 shows up on Thursday so that should be good!
We have still been working with Durrontae he kind of flaked out coming to church this weekend so we are going to get back up with him today! His baptism is this upcoming Saturday and we still have some stuff to go through with him.
We watched a face to face with Elder Rasband last night and that was awesome!
Sister Rasband said, " Most things worth obtaining in this life, don't come easy"
Sometimes it may seem hard to live the Gospel and to "take up our cross" and follow Jesus Christ. But in Heleman 5:8 we learn that those who do this and are "firm and steadfast..... have been made free"
True freedom comes through keeping the commandments of God and following Jesus Christ. The Lord blesses those that choose to follow him. I know as I have done my best to follow Jesus Christ I have been able to feel true joy.
Have a good week!
Love
Elder Forrest
