Another electric week out here in Dope Mills North Carolina! Actually quite literally.... we built an electric fence around 8 acres and when we finished they turned that crap on and I was touching it. I didn't even know I was touching it though so I couldn't figure out why my body was flipping out
We went on exchange with some Spanish Elders in a trio that have been struggling, I went with the one that is doing fine tho, but Elder Gardner went with the other 2. The 2 Elders hate each other so Elder Gardner said it felt like 3 days hahah
We had dinner with a family this week and they have 3 crazy kids. One of the kids kept mooning us while the other one threw a soccer ball at us, and so the parents tried to get them to stop and while all this is happening the dog was eating all the food off the dinner table and the cat was climbing the screen door. I can testify that enchiladas still taste good even with a little dog slobber on them
Satan was working hard this week and one of the ladies, Annie, that we had on date flipped out and said that her baptism is making her anxious and she doesnt wanna talk anymore. That kinda blows.... but luckily God always prevails and we are gonna get back up with her and get her baptized.
We still have Lynda on date for this next Saturday the 21st, we got her interview this week.... we just got to get her off the cigs for good
This week I have been studying more about justice, and I ran across this scripture in Deuteronomy 30:
19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live
It reminded me of 2 Nephi 2:27
27 Wherefore, men are free according to the flesh; and all things are given them which are expedient unto man. And they are free to choose liberty and eternal life, through the great Mediator of all men, or to choose captivity and death, according to the captivity and power of the devil; for he seeketh that all men might be miserable like unto himself.
Justice will be done unto us according to the decisions we make. We are free to follow Jesus Christ or to follow after the adversary.
James E. Faust taught:
"My dear young friends, there is another great truth that you young men must learn. It is that everything has a price. There is a price to pay for success, fulfillment, accomplishment, and joy. There are no freebies. If you don’t pay the price that is needed for success, you will pay the price of failure"
We have our agency. We can choose who we want to follow. But we will suffer the consequences of our choices, whether good or bad, according to the law of justice.
Love yall
Elder Forrest
