Staying in Durham another 6 weeks

It's been another great week here in Durham and I can't believe that it's already been a transfer here! Time just flies by everyday.

This week has been awesome, we focused on the savior all week in our studies and we had a great Easter Sunday. We originally didn't have a dinner for yesterday but Bishop invited us over for an Easter Feast. We also had a 2 hour block set aside yesterday by President Holland for a Book of Mormon reflection. It was awesome to reflect on what the Book of Mormon has taught me about Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon is such a blessing and it truly testifies of the Savior and his Doctrine!

We had first transfer training this week down in Apex and it was pretty awesome. We put a lot of focus on the Book of Mormon and how to teach with it. The Book of Mormon is so powerful and it is essential to the conversion process.

Last night we were able to find another person to teach named Abass from Sierra Leone Africa. We walked up to his apartment and he had some dope African music playing and he was cooking up a ton of bacon. He talked with us for half an hour and we taught him about the Book of Mormon! He wants to learn more and was even interested in coming to church next week! The Lord truly does hear our prayers, and he answers them. That puts our teaching pool up to about 15 people. We are going to clean it out this week though because unfortunately some of these people aren't keeping commitments.

I went on exchange to the D4 area again this week with my district Leader Elder Albrecht. It's always interesting when we go there because their apartment is sketch! The door will just randomly start shaking and opening  and the beds randomly shake too. Some pretty wild stuff down there but it was still good to learn from Elder Albrecht and they also have a full gym at their apartment! Their area is a lot of apartments and they don't have bikes, so we were on foot. We got rejected by everyone we talked to that day but sometimes that's how it goes. We cut bamboo off of trails out in the woods though for service which was a lot of fun.

We did a lot of service this week. It was dumping buckets and me and Elder Cook were digging a ditch in someone's back yard, I've never been so muddy in my life but it was a lot of fun. We also spread a lot of mulch this week for an Elderly lady. We also went to this huge thrift shop Trosa and volunteered in the back which was a ton of fun! They had us sort a million books into different bins hahaha.

Last Monday night I woke up at 1 in the morning and I was shaking so crazy. I was trying to get some motrin out of my suitcase but I couldn't get it because I was shaking so much. Elder Cook woke up and he just saw me on the ground shaking uncontrollably over my suitcase. I think he was pretty freaked out, he thought I was having a seizure or something. I guess I had a fever but I took some medicine and when I woke up I was fine. Hahah pretty crazy stuff, it made for a good story at first transfer training though.

Overall this week has been great! Thank you for all the support, I love you guys!

Also thank you to Grandma Stewart for the Easter package!! Me and Elder Cook really enjoyed it!!
