It's been another great week out here in Durham North Carolina! This week was a lot of fun and we made some great progress. We had back to back exchanges Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday which was a lot of fun. I got to take over the area for the first time and got to drive the car.
On Tuesday me and Elder Christenson were on exchange. He's from Arizona and he races dirt bikes too so we had a lot of fun. We went to Naomi's house (lady we been teaching) to do service. She has 26 acres out in the woods and we were moving big piles of tin from out in the woods. Well anyways under the pile of tin there was a ton of snakes!! We killed like 3 of them but it was pretty crazy. After that we had a super bomb lesson with her, she's so close to baptism. She just needs to take that last leap of faith.
Then on exchange with Elder Conry we had an awesome lesson with Ellery. He is super willing to meet and we are giving him a tour of the church this week. I have a good feeling about him. We also got in a bash with a JW, and we confounded her. It's sad to see how lost some religions are. Our church truly has all the answers and some people just won't listen no matter how hard you try.
Me and Elder cook had a goal to find 2 new people this week and we didn't think it was going to happen. But we did everything we could and we found a lady named Patricia and her son EJ. She said she never let's anyone into her home but she felt like she should let us in. We had a bomb lesson and they are super elect. The Lord truly does provide.
Also came up with this new thing called wheelie contacting. I just ride wheelies everywhere and it draws a lot of attention, we've actually had some good contacts from it haha.
We did quite a bit of service this week which is always a ton of fun. We built a big wood fence at a school with the ward, and then we had a cook out after. We got a nonmember to come with us and he enjoyed it so we were pretty stoked about that.
It's been a pretty productive week and we are pretty stoked with the way things are going. We've been working really hard and that's all we can do, a scripture that's been on my mind this week is Moroni 9:6.
6 And now, my beloved son, notwithstanding their hardness, let us labor diligently; for if we should cease to labor, we should be brought under condemnation; for we have a labor to perform whilst in this tabernacle of clay, that we may conquer the enemy of all righteousness, and rest our souls in the kingdom of God.
Diligence is a Christlike attribute. At times it might seem like the task in front of you is impossible. But all things are possible with Christ, and you just have to push through with Faith. The Lord always provides a way we just have to be diligent in our efforts. Never lose hope and never give up.
I love you guys
