New companion

It's been a pretty good week here in Durham. Elder Cook is gone now he went out to the coast. My new companion is Elder Steffensen from Denmark. He's been out about 9 months.

We made some good progress with Terry this week. He stopped drinking tea and coffee and he came to church again. At church we had a nacho bar for the second hour to celebrate Fathers day early and Terry had a good time, so pretty stoked about that.

There was an old broken bike in the shed here at our apartment that has been here forever and we never knew why. Well Elder Steffensen showed up and his bike was missing a few parts including a wheel and it turns out the bike in the shed was the exact same bike. Pretty cool little miracle, we were able to get his bike working.

It rained all week here and we were on bikes so we got pretty wet, but we got all our service hours in which is good.

Unfortunately my wheelie days are over for now because Elder Steffensen says I need to be "safer" on my bike. He also doesn't like to take that many pictures so unfortunately I didn't get any pictures.

But overall its been a pretty good week a scripture that has been on my mind is in Mosiah Chapter 23...
21 Nevertheless the Lord seeth fit to chasten his people; yea, he trieth their patience and their faith.
22 Nevertheless—whosoever putteth his trust in him the same shall be lifted up at the last day. Yea, and thus it was with this people.

Life is full of good times and bad times. Sometimes those bad times have to happen so we can appreciate the good times. When we are patient and endure through our trials it strengthens our faith. The Lord will be there helping us along the whole way if we put our trust in him,  and if we endure he will bless us.

Love Y'all keep being awesome.
