It's been another great week here in Jacksonville, and a great weekend of General Conference!
We have Olivia Hunt on date to be baptized on October 19th! She is an awesome little girl and we are so happy for her.
One awesome experience from this week was with a lady named Rebecca out in Richlands NC. Richlands is a small town on the edge of our ward boundaries. Well we were out that way for a lesson and the lesson fell through so we went into the back of a little neighborhood, and we knocked into Rebecca. She hadn't been to church since she was a teenager and She had been praying just a few days before if she should come back to church, and then we came and knocked on her door. I know the Lord was leading us to Rebecca. It's amazing how the Lord truly does hear our prayers.
We were running a little low on service hours this week so we went to harbor freight and got those trash pickup things. Its actually a pretty good way to get some contacts, just going around the park picking up trash and talking to people!
I crashed my bike for the first time on the mission yesterday! I hit a jump and my tires went flat when I landed and sent me rolling across the road!
General conference was awesome! There was some really great talks. One theme that stood out to me was "Trust in the Lord". I think just about every speaker talked about following Jesus Christ and putting our trust in the Lord. That is what will lead us to have joy, true joy.
I hope yall watched general conference and listened to the words of a prophet of God. If you didnt and you dont plan on it, I hope you'll repent, pull your head out and watch it!
If you think you can navigate through this life, back to Heavenly Father, without following Jesus Christ, the prophet, and the Holy Ghost.... you're wrong
