Mission Conference

Another great week in Jacksonville North Carolina! We had another mission conference this Saturday, and President Ballard came and spoke to us. We all got to meet him. The second that he walked into the room you could feel that he is an apostle of the Lord. He is an amazing man , and he is also in charge of the missionary department! He basically wrote "preach my Gospel". It was awesome to hear his insights and the revelation he provided for our mission.

On a less spiritual note I wadded up on the pedal bike pretty hard the other day! I was going full speed at this massive jump and it was so steep, that when I hit it, all my momentum stopped. My back wheel shot up and I went flying 20 feet over the handlebars, and got all tangled up in the bike. That was the first adrenaline rush I've had in a while..... it was AWESOME!!! Elder Palmer got a pretty good laugh out of it.

We made some good progress with Sean, a real nice guy we have been teaching. He struggles to believe that there is a God. Well we were having a lesson the other day and he was talking about how he has a desire to know but he wont ask God because he's not sure if he's there. The Spirit led us to Alma chapter 32, talking about how if we have the desire we should experiment. Sean was really caught by surprise. He told us he's talked to a lot of different missionaries from a lot of different churches, but he told us that we have definitely gotten the furthest with him. I think Sean is starting to recognize that there is something different about this church....it's the true one!!! Pretty cool little miracle from the week.

We talked to a lot of people this week and got to do quite a bit of service as usual. Got some good things coming!

Olivia Hunt is getting baptized this weekend, and we are going fishing with her parents today for our pday! Should be a good time! Hopefully we can catch some big fish and go fry them up with Brother Sam!!!

It's been another great week, time just keeps flying by out here.

As I was eating my eggs this morning for breakfast this scripture came to my mind. It talks about yoke, not the same kind of yoke but still....

28 ¶ Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

I love this scripture. And I testify that as we turn to Jesus Christ, there is no burden that he cannot lift. We can have joy no matter our circumstances if we will put our trust in him.

Love
