Another Great week out here in North Carolina! Some highlights of the week are knocking myself out with a dumbbell, mastering the technique of eating cake, and Elder Hiebert buying a $1500 bike and popping both tires in the first hour!
I got my bike fixed this week, it's been riding like a dream. It's really taken my wheelie game to the next level.
The work this week was fantastic! We found 5 new people to teach!! 3 of them are apart of a family and we got to teach them a few times already! Were going back on thursday to have dinner with them, their house is discusting so it should be interesting!
We saw a miracle with a lady Darlene we've been teaching. We have been seeing no progress with her for a while and haven't been able to get her to come out to church. Well we had a super spiritual lesson on Saturday night. The spirit was off the walls. Darlene said she would come to church, and she did!!! And she had an amazing time.
Some other highlights are Richie Jones and Mike Ursery. Richie is getting baptized this next Saturday the 2nd. He is an awesome guy.
Mike Ursery we put on date for baptism for the 9th of november this week. He has forsaken cigarettes and he is not going to let anything stop him from getting baptized and receiving the priesthood. We are going fishing with him this morning at a little pond in the middle of the woods, should be an awesome time!!!
In 2 Nephi 2 it says...
26 And the Messiah cometh in the fulness of time, that he may redeem the children of men from the fall. And because that they are redeemed from the fall they have become FREE FOREVER, knowing good from evil; to act for themselves and not to be acted upon, save it be by the punishment of the law at the great and last day, according to the commandments which God hath given.
I love the words Free Forever! Through Jesus Christ we can all be free. True freedom comes from using our agency to follow Jesus Christ. Its interesting being a missionary we live by more rules and commandments than normal, but I've also never felt so free in my entire life. I know that by keeping the commandments and following the savior we can be free, no matter the situation we are in. It brings true happiness!
I love yall!
