Transfers on Tuesday

It's been another great week out here in Jville! I took Elder Palmer up to Raleigh for transfers on Tuesday. We were there a few minutes early so we went to chick-fil-a at the mall. Elder Palmer saw a 10 story building and a parking garage and he was amazed. He was freaking out saying it was the biggest building he's ever seen and it wasn't even big

I'm gonna miss that dude but I got my new comp Elder Warden. He's from Oklahoma, he's been out for 4 months.

I've been sick the whole week, throwing up, but we still grinded it out this week. We put Selina Hernandez on date to be baptized on December 14th so that is good.  We also had Johnny, Rochelle, and the fam come to church..... but they left halfway through sacrament and now we cant get ahold of them. I'm guessing they had a good experience

It was pretty funny me and Elder Warden knocked on a door and a young marine opened it and said, "which one of you mormons is always popping the fat wheelies down the highway"

I told him it was me and i guess I'm famous around here. Everyone on base knows about the wheelieing Mormon, pretty sweet

We had a Joy in Christ Devotional out in Hampstead yesterday with President and Sister Holland. We sang in the choir as usual and it was a good time. Spent a lot of time in the car with Elder Turner and Elder Hiebert, those guys are hilarious. They fight like little kids.

I learned a few things this week. The first lesson was taught to me by the Sister missionaries here in Jacksonville. They told me that Benadryl is not cold and flu medication, boy that was news to me. After careful consideration and very thorough analysis I was able to obtain the proper medication, and I am now doing a lot better!

I also read some pretty cool scriptures this week. Mormon 5:17-18 says...

17 They were once a delightsome people, and they had Christ for their shepherd; yea, they were led even by God the Father.
18 But now, behold, they are led about by Satan, even as chaff is driven before the wind, or as a vessel is tossed about upon the waves, without sail or anchor, or without anything wherewith to steer her; and even as she is, so are they.

Mormon is mourning the wickedness of his people, the Nephites. When they were righteous they were happy, they were full of delight.

When we become wicked we lose control. We must never forget the reason that we are here. True Joy comes from following Jesus Christ and keeping the promises we have made. That is when we have control and when we are full of delight. When we choose to ignore the savior and his commandments, we will become miserable and we will slowly but surely lose all control in our lives.

Keep your covenants, Go to church, read the scriptures, pray, and attend the temple. It's not that hard, but it's going to be hard to stand before God at judgement day if we dont do these simple things now.

I love you all!
