Another great week here in Jacksonville North Carolina!
We out Selina Hernandez back on date to be baptized on the 21st of December so that's awesome!
We got the cops called on us and the cop came and interrogated us, I started bearing my testimony to him.... he told us to leave! But it was worth a try
We had our ward Christmas party this weekend which was a lot of fun, lots of good food. Brother Negus came to the ward party which was sweet! He took us to the driving range last pday to play a little golf. He's a less active guy we've been working with and his kids are starting to come around
Overall it's been a great week, lots of good progress with the people we are teaching and great things to come!
I've been reading in Ether 12 all week, been stuck on a few verses! Vs 6 says
6 And now, I, Moroni, would speak somewhat concerning these things; I would show unto the world that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith.
It takes Faith to live certain principles of the Gospel and to follow the commandments that God gives us. Some of them might not even make sense. But that's what Faith is, if you want to be happy and recieve the Lords promised blessings you have to exercise your Faith first.
John 7:17 says
17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.
Sometimes you just have to do it, even if it doesn't make sense, and then you will recieve a witness and know for yourself.
A great example of this is in 2 Kings Chapter 5, about Naaman. Check it out if yall get a chance
Love yall, Merry Christmas
