Timber!!

It's been another great week out here in Raleigh! We have Joseph Smith on date to be baptized on Saturday, he is such a great guy. He got all excited in Sunday school and started bearing his testimony, the man is converted. He went Cold Turkey on smoking, praise to the man!!

We found 6 new people to teach this week, we were on the hunt. One of them, Rashelle, is the cousin of a recent convert and she says she wants to strengthen her relationship with God. We are pretty excited about her.

This week we did some service at the Mitchell's house, cutting down trees and hauling all the logs around. The trees out here are huge. Well one of them we were all pulling on a rope to make sure it tipped over the right way and then we all ran away so we wouldn't get crushed. Brother Buchanan didnt get the memo and he just stood there while a huge tree crushed him. He got pretty lucky he is okay..... we got it on video!!!!!!

We had zone conference this week and we gave an hour long training to the zone. We role played with President Holland in front of everyone. We talked about preparing people for baptism and extending baptismal invitations. It went pretty well and it has definitely benefited the work this week.

I'm convinced President Holland is one of the smartest guys alive, he knows so much about scripture and missionary work.

This week I was reading Lehis vision in 1 Nephi. I love when he talks about the people who partake of the fruit and stay faithful. Many people laughed and mocked at them

33 And great was the multitude that did enter into that strange building. And after they did enter into that building they did point the finger of scorn at me and those that were partaking of the fruit also; but we heeded them not

But they headed them not. The Gospel brings so much joy into our lives, we shouldn't let anyone stop us from feeling of that joy.

I know I'm grateful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and for the Joy it has brought into my life.

Love y'all

Elder Forrest
