Raleigh

It's been another great week out here in Raleigh! We were able to find a couple new people to teach so that is awesome.

A recent convert, Erica, brought someone to church and we are going to start teaching him so that's pretty sweet.

We also met a guy named Charles who is a member of the church. He has a few kids that haven't really come to church and we are supposed to go over tonight and teach them, so that's exciting.

Jamar was the highlight of the week, not a good highlight though! We had a super spiritual lesson and put him on date for baptism and warned him of opposition. It wasn't even 2 hours after we left he called and said that he wants to go back to his other church. We convinced him to come to Gospel principles and we talked it over and helped him remember his witness he received from the Spirit. Then we thought everything was all good and he called us the next morning and told us not to talk to him anymore.

Pretty sad especially because he knows its true. But,  everyone has the right to exercise their agency in whatsoever way they feel. He is not ready to let go of the worldly vices that are binding him down but we will pray that one day he will change his mind.

11 For it must needs be, that there is an opposition in all things. If not so, my firstborn in the wilderness, righteousness could not be brought to pass, neither wickedness, neither holiness nor misery, neither good nor bad. Wherefore, all things must needs be a compound in one; wherefore, if it should be one body it must needs remain as dead, having no life neither death, nor corruption nor incorruption, happiness nor misery, neither sense nor insensibility
12 Wherefore, it must needs have been created for a thing of naught; wherefore there would have been no purpose in the end of its creation. Wherefore, this thing must needs destroy the wisdom of God and his eternal purposes, and also the power, and the mercy, and the justice of God.

Agency is central to our existence. Without agency there would be "a compound in one". We would be a big blob of nothing, stagnant. We would literally not exist. I know that agency is an important part of Gods plan, and he allows us to choose for ourselves because he loves us.

Love yall
