It's been another great week out here in Raleigh North Carolina! We had our zone council this week, it was awesome. We went over effective planning, asking inspired questions and teaching from the scriptures. We also set a zone goal of 9 baptisms for the month of March, which is a huge goal, but we have faith that it is achievable!
Shannon is doing great. We went over the interview questions with her this week and when we asked her if she had any questions she said, "Nope, I'm ready!" She is so happy to come to church and to learn about the Gospel.
We also were finally able to get back up with Ignatius. He had dissapeared for a couple weeks, but, we found out he is quitting his job and he will be home more! We are meeting tomorrow and we are going to talk about baptism. I've never met someone who is so ready and intune with the spirit as he is.
Today we live in a world still suffering from the effects of an apostasy. Full of sin, darkness, anger, and confusion.
23 For behold, my beloved brethren, I say unto you that the Lord God worketh not in darkness.
In 1 Nephi 26 Nephi tells us that the Lord worketh not in darkness. In all this darkness in the world today, there is a light. The light is Jesus Christ. His Gospel has been restored to the Earth and when we grasp on to it and refuse to let go, it overpowers all darkness.
24 He doeth not anything save it be for the benefit of the world; for he loveth the world, even that he layeth down his own life that he may draw all men unto him. Wherefore, he commandeth none that they shall not partake of his salvation.
Jesus Christ invites all to come unto him and to live in the light.
I know I am grateful for my savior Jesus Christ. I am grateful for his Gospel here on the earth today and for the light it is in my life.
Love
Elder Forrest
