Quarantine

Another week in quarantine here in Raleigh NC. It was a pretty good week.

We are in a trio now because someone in the zone went home, so now we have Elder Wolfley with us. We had to rearrange the apartment and go pick up some more furniture to fit him in here!

The work has been pretty slow, we have had a hard time staying in contact with those being taught, but, we found a new person to teach this week so we were pretty stoked about that.

We went for a hike through a swamp this week and Elder Lignell got buried up to his thighs in mud, and he lost his shoes a few times! It was quite the sight to see

Other then that not a whole lot has been going on, just lots of studies and having some lessons with members and all that. I have lost 10 lbs tho since being in quarantine, going hard with the jump rope and weights every night for an hour and a half!

Elder Lignell taught me how to play the Harmonica so I have been going hard making some good music too haha

The Assistants told us there is a good chance that President will split us up in 2 weeks because there are a ton more missionaries going home, so we will see what happens and where I will be 🤷‍♂️

This week I was reading in Mosiah 2 and King Benjamin talks about the consequences of knowing truth but not living it.

Some of the phrases he used to describe this are: Damnation, everlasting punishment, guilt, shrink, pain, anguish, unquenchable fire, doom, never-ending torment, awful situation, etc.

Now I'm no expert.... but that literally sounds like hell.

Vs 31 "....but what knoweth that ye are eternally indebted to your heavenly Father, to render to him all that you have and are"

Our Heavenly Father has blessed us with so much, including our life. When we keep his simple commandments.... he blesses us even more! That is the least we can do

Those who do this in the words of King Benjamin will: Prosper, be blessed in all things , live in a happy-state, dwell with God, never-ending happiness,  have joy.

I dont know about yall but that sounds a lot better than the first description!

The fact is none of us are perfect we are all on our own path in this life, and we all need to repent, change and become better. I know that I have walked a few different paths in my life and the only one that has made me happy is the one that our Savior Jesus Christ has paved for us.

I invite everyone to assess where you are at spiritually and evaluate where the path you are currently on will lead you. If you need to change, start working on it! Jesus Christ "inviteth ALL to come unto him".

Love yall

Elder Forrest
