Another Good week out in Dope Mills North Carolina! The other night we were coming back from an appointment and we nailed a racoon going like 65 MPH.... we didnt have a dinner that night so it worked out pretty good
We went up to Dunn for Tim's baptism this week and he asked me to confirm him so that was pretty sweet
We had a referral for some dude named Brian and he lives in a shipping crate in the middle of the woods in the middle of nowhere. Well we showed up and he had 2 buddies there and they were all drunk and high. Brian proceeded to go off about a bunch of false doctrine. After 5 minutes of listening to his blasphemy we bore down on him with pure testimony and then he chased us off the property
We met a lady named Lynda this week and had 2 lessons with her and we set a baptismal date for the 21st of November so we are super stoked for that.
Some how we took a wrong turn the other night and ended up on a whooped out sand ATV trail in the middle of the woods.... after hitting that racoon the other night the Malibu wasn't even phased
On a more serious note though, if there is one thing I learned this week it would be that even after 21 months of being a missionary... I still get better looking every single day. But more importantly PMG says " Becoming clean from Sin is being healed spiritually "
Now we know that Justice is the unchanging law that brings consequence for action. When we do good things there is consequences, we recieve blessings. When we Sin there is consequences, we separate ourselves from God.
Christ has paid the price for our sins but he has not eliminated our personal responsibility.
Heleman 5:
10...for he said unto him that the Lord surely should come to redeem his people, but that he should not come to redeem them in their sins, but to redeem them from their sins.
11 And he hath power given unto him from the Father to redeem them from their sins because of repentance;
We can repent through the atonement of Jesus Christ. Mercy can satisfy the demands of justice and encircle us in the arms of safety. We can be healed Spiritually through Jesus Christ.
Love yall
