It's been another great week out here in Hope Mills NC! Lynda got baptized this weekend.

The font was nasty because it hadn't been used in so long we had to scrub that bad boy down. All we had was dish soap so I coated that thing in dish soap and it was slippery! I was sliding all over the place. Well..... after 30 minutes we got that thing all clean and got all the suds out. We went to crank on the water and THE FETCHING WATER HEATER WAS BROKEN! Let's just say Lynda came up outta the water gasping for air and she will probably never forget her baptism

Some Elders wanted to kill eachother this week, so we had to go babysit them for a couple hours and have a little heart to heart. At first it seemed like more of a heart to shart but by the end it worked out.... kinda. We also went on some exchanges and all that good stuff.

Half of our zone is quarantined for the next 2 weeks because they got exposed to the Rona, but me and Elder Gardner made it out alive and we are going to play some sand volleyball today 💪

This week I read this verse in Proverbs 28:

1 The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

It reminded me of this verse in 2 Nephi 9:

40."....I know that the words of truth are hard against all uncleanness; but the righteous fear them not, for they love the truth and are not shaken."

Christ tells us in John 14 that he is the truth. If we don't learn to love the truth then we cannot say that we love Christ... at least the way that we should. Loving the truth does not mean in any sense that we will be perfect or always make the right choice, but it does mean that we will try, even when it is hard.

The Lord loves effort.

When we love the truth we can live each day with courage and have access to the enabling power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. We can become better each day and feel of the peace that only comes through Jesus Christ.

Love

Elder Forrest
