Another good week out here in the warzone, We ended up in a trio this week, and we had too much fun. Looks like it is my last week in the Fayetteville Zone I'm getting transferred tomorrow
Thanksgiving was awesome! Me, Elder Gardner, and Elder Harding had a no hands ice cream eating contest, I wrecked those boys
One of the dudes we were teaching, Erik, came to church and was super disrespectful the whole meeting and then we had a lesson after and rebuked him.... with love of course. In the lesson he started ragging on women and children and the member we had with us was about to knock him into tomorrow but luckily we made it through the lesson without anyone having to go to jail. The member we had in the lesson is a special forces guy for the ARMY, let's just say Erik should be glad he was feeling Christlike
My back got pretty jacked up this week, so it's been pretty hard for me to move around, JG started calling me Grandpa Forrest because I'm bout to go home and now I'm a cripple, so that's nice. But he can't say anything because both of his elbows are falling apart, and Elder Harding can't say crap either because his wrist is destroyed
I haven't been able to sit all week and we had to run a zone council on Friday. It was supposed to be in person but due to the Rona we had to do it over zoom, so I kneeled in front of the computer for 3 hours
One of the scriptures that has been on my mind a lot lately is John 16:33:
Christ says, " These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."
We all face challenges and tribulation in this life. Jesus Christ has taken our tribulations upon him. As we turn to him we can feel relief from the challenges that face us and we can "be of good cheer".
Love yall
Elder Forrest
